What does a typical companionship visit look like?
Visits are shaped around the older relative's own preferences — a shared meal, a quiet conversation, a short walk in the garden, card games, or simply companionable time at home. Our companion arrives at the agreed hour, stays for the arranged duration, and sends the family a brief note at the end.
How far in advance do we need to book?
For the Daytime Companionship Programme and the Errand & Appointment Logistics service, we ask for at least five working days to confirm scheduling and match the right companion. For the Technology Connection Help session, we can usually arrange an appointment within a few days.
Can we pause or adjust the schedule?
Yes. We understand that family circumstances change. Schedules can be adjusted with reasonable notice, and we will always work with you to find an arrangement that fits current needs rather than holding you to a rigid timetable.
Is the same person sent each time?
We prioritise continuity and aim for the same companion each visit. Familiarity matters — both for the older relative's comfort and for our ability to notice and relay changes in their day-to-day wellbeing to the family.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Petaling Jaya and serve families across Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, and surrounding areas in Selangor. Please contact us to check coverage for specific postcodes further afield.
How is the family kept informed?
After each visit we send a brief note — by WhatsApp or email, whichever the family prefers — covering how the time was spent and anything worth flagging. For the Errand service, a confirmation message is sent after each completed outing.
What happens on public holidays?
Malaysian public holidays may affect availability. We will inform the family in advance whenever a visit or errand run needs to be rescheduled due to a public holiday, and we will always find a suitable alternative time.
